Roche Cattle Steer Report - The Holmes family from Ogden, UT did an exceptional job preparing their animal for the show season. He was super hairy and is growing more daily. He was by far the most cared for animal there and will be tough to get around this summer. Of course the Mobley family from Ogden as well did a great job with my calves. They somehow do a lot of damage with the cheaper end. They win a class wherever they go and have even won the hardest fair in Utah hands down, Weber County. The Davis family recently bought a steer from me, two weeks ago, that had only seen a halter from a distance, but they had him dialed in and made it to the final drive as well. Tanner Maxfield did a great job showing his red Hairy Bear which has already won earlier this year. He's one of the best showmen out there and I would put him on the end of any halter for me. Ol whitey was there with the Steed family and looked super cool but its hard to make one look their best with such limited time they had to work with him. All in all we had a good showing taking home one Grand Champion and multiple class winners. We didn't have any heifers there (All of mine from the Dec. online sale went back East) but if we did they would have looked like heifers and not steers without a sheath, right Matt? lol. Great Job kids!!!!
